Christ as God/Man - Prophet, Priest and King

 

  Jesus is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit in the Trinity of God. At the same time He is true God and true man. Immediately after Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God promised to send a Savior. The only possible solution would be a Savior who is truly God so He might be perfect and who is truly man so that He might be a substitute.

 

  Throughout the Old Testament the promise of the coming Savior was refined and narrowed so that the Savior would be one who would be Prophet, Priest and King.

 

  Follow along during the Wednesdays of Advent as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve as we look at Jesus as a Prophet, in His day and still today; as we look at Jesus as our Priest, even our greatest High Priest who offered Himself as the ultimate sacrifice, once for all; and as we look at Jesus at our Eternal King who reigns in heaven, watching over us, ruling over us and interceding for us and who will continue to rule over us when we reach our eternal inheritance in heaven.

 

  And follow along as we look at Jesus as truly God and truly human.

 

  Finally, on New Year’s Eve we look again at the naming of Jesus, Immanuel, God with us.
