If you have visited with us and you are interested in becoming a member of St. Matthew, you may call the church office (281-443-2304) or note your wishes on the friendship pad found in the folder in your pew on sunday worship services. We will be happy to answer your questions and make whatever arrangements are necessary.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We Believe....that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the only source and authority for all matters of faith and life.

We Believe....that man is saved by the grace of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

We Believe....that this faith is to express itself in a life of love to God and service to our fellow men.

Our Worship Style We are a "liturgical" church. That means that the basic pattern of our worship is drawn from the services that have been used by Christians for many centuries all across the world. The components of the Liturgy come from the Bible and serve to focus our worship on God's Word and our response to His Word in faith. As Martin Luther once said, "We worship to hear God speak and to speak to the God who hears us." If you are new to our worship format let it serve as a witness of our response to God who reaches out to us. In time, we pray that you, too, will celebrate the rich spiritual rewards of our heritage in Worship.

An Invitation To Discipleship Absolutely the greatest news that any person can ever hear and believe is the amazing account of God's love in Jesus Christ for all people . . . for you! If you have never taken this to heart or received Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, please do that right where you are. And then share that response with one of our Elders or our Pastor or another Christian friend. If you are already a Christian, prayerfully thank God for the gift of His constant, eternal love for you. Affirm your faith and love for Him today!
